As an Actuarial Intern within the Hub, you will be based in Casablanca while working closely with an international team located in APAC, EMEA or the US.
This will give you the opportunity to contribute to a global business environment, collaborate with colleagues from different countries and gain first-hand experience of actuarial work within one of the world’s leading global reinsurers.
During your internship, you will be assigned a well-defined project addressing a concrete business need. Your work will lead to a meaningful deliverable that can be used by the relevant team beyond the internship.
Depending on the hosting team and business priorities, your project may focus on areas such as:
-Leveraging AI agents to create or enhance the documentation of an actuarial modelling tool
-Building an actuarial or management dashboard using Foundry
-Supporting the annual expense review and update process
Alongside your project, you will receive training and guidance on reserving, actuarial modelling and reinsurance.
You will be supported by experienced actuarial colleagues throughout the internship and gain insight into how actuarial analysis contributes to SCOR’s financial reporting, risk management and business decisions.
This internship is an opportunity to apply your analytical and technical skills to a real business challenge, develop your understanding of actuarial science and discover what it is like to work in a collaborative and international actuarial environment.

- Working with an international actuarial team based in APAC, EMEA or the US
- Understanding the business need, scope and expected outcome of the assigned project
- Collecting, structuring and analysing relevant actuarial, financial or operational information
- Developing a practical solution, tool or deliverable that can be used by the hosting team
- Exploring opportunities to use artificial intelligence, automation or data visualisation to improve existing processes
- Testing and validating the quality, accuracy and usability of the proposed solution

- Presenting your approach, findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
- Incorporating feedback from actuarial experts and other colleagues involved in the project
- Contributing constructively to the Hub’s collaborative and international working environment
- Examples of Internship Projects
- AI-assisted actuarial modelling documentation
- Use AI agents and other appropriate tools to review, structure and enhance the documentation of an actuarial modelling tool.
The project may involve working with existing technical materials, model specifications and input from subject-matter experts to produce clear, consistent and accessible documentation. The final deliverable would be designed for practical use by the actuarial team.
Actuarial dashboard development
Design and build a dashboard in Foundry to support the monitoring, analysis or communication of actuarial information.
The project may include identifying user requirements, structuring the underlying data, defining relevant indicators and developing intuitive visualisations. The completed dashboard would provide the team with a practical tool for recurring analysis or reporting.
Annual expense review and update
Support the annual review and update of expense assumptions or related actuarial information.
The project may include gathering and validating data, analysing movements and key drivers, updating relevant files or tools, and documenting the methodology and results. The final output would support an established actuarial process and contribute directly to the team’s annual activities.
The intern will be assigned one principal project, based on business needs, their academic background and their areas of interest.
