At NN Group Corporate Audit Services Finance & Risk (CAS F&R), we are a well-established team of highly skilled professionals who perform in-depth audits of financial risk management processes and Risk and Finance Reporting systems. As an Actuarial Auditor/Specialist, you’ll play a key role in assessing the accuracy and reliability of actuarial models, identifying risks, and driving improvements across NN’s global operations.

This is your opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment where your actuarial skills will help ensure the robustness of our processes, compliance with regulatory standards, and the creation of value for NN’s future.

As an Actuarial Auditor/Specialist, you will bring your actuarial expertise to the forefront of NN Group’s audit processes. Your work will focus on evaluating financial risk management frameworks, reporting processes across NN’s business units and actuarial models, predominantly in our larger entities such as NN Life, NN Non-life, and Japan but also in our other international offices.

You’ll dive deep into actuarial and financial processes to uncover potential risks, validate methodologies, and provide actionable insights that strengthen NN’s overall risk management. By collaborating with your colleagues in CAS F&R, you will ensure that our financial risk management and reporting processes are both effective and compliant with regulations such as Solvency II and IFRS 17.

Additionally, you’ll work on audits of advanced actuarial and risk models and their integration with emerging technologies such as AI and process automation. With your skills, you’ll help us challenge the business and support NN in its journey toward a more resilient, future-proof organization.

What you are going to do

In this role, you will evaluate actuarial models for accuracy, reliability, and compliance in reserving, pricing, and risk management. You will validate financial risk frameworks by reviewing processes for solvency calculations, capital adequacy, and related metrics, and audit finance and risk reporting for accuracy and regulatory compliance (Solvency II, IFRS 17). Additionally, you will assess risks across NN’s insurance and financial operations to ensure strong controls are in place. You will challenge the business and present your findings and recommendations to business leaders helping them understand their risks and opportunities for improvements.

Together with colleagues from CAS F&R and other audit disciplines (CAS Life, CAS Non-Life, CAS IT, and CAS data analytics & AI) you will deliver integrated audits that provide a comprehensive view of risk and process improvement opportunities. You will collaborate with data analytics specialists to audit the use of AI and advanced analytics within actuarial models and financial processes. You will leverage technology and use tools such as Python, R, SQL, or actuarial software to analyze data and develop innovative audit approaches.

Your work will span a wide range of NN’s operations, giving you the opportunity to explore diverse aspects of financial risk management and to contribute to NN’s success on a global scale.
