Description and Requirements
The Team You Will Join
This position is with the HR Benefit Finance team in MetLife's actuarial line of business. The team is responsible for the financial management of the benefit plans that support MetLife employees including various pension, deferred compensation, medical, life and disability plans. The team works collaboratively with the HR, Legal, Accounting and Investment teams to provide financial analysis, projections and recommendations to senior leadership to maintain and enhance the financial security of these plans and MetLife employees.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

• Support the expense forecasting of all benefit programs for use in enterprise business planning activities
• Identify trends and anomalies in data and support analysis of impact on costs
• Gather and collate monthly and quarterly information to support ongoing analysis and reporting of benefit plan costs and liabilities
• Provide support for the determination of attribution of expense changes
• Maintain and administer Corporate Owned Life Insurance
• Work closely with team to manage funded status of various funding vehicles
• Support Economic Capital and other insurance specific valuation processes as they relate to the employee benefit plans
• Compile information to be presented to the company's benefit governance committees

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Economics or related discipline.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Strong technical, mathematical and analytical abilities
• Strong written and oral communication skills

What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)

• Suggested 1+ years of actuarial, accounting or finance related experience
• Basic understanding of data analytics and data analysis tools
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Experience with SQL, VBA or Python
