Mallory Safety & Supply is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting team in Longview, Washington!
This is an in-person, Monday through Friday position from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the potential for some hybrid flexibility in the future.
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you’ll play an important role in keeping our customer accounts accurate and our payments moving. This position involves communicating with customers about outstanding balances, posting payments, researching invoice discrepancies, and following up to make sure issues are resolved.
We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers and systems, and able to keep track of multiple priorities without needing to be reminded what needs to be done. If you’re someone who likes figuring things out, takes initiative, and can stay on top of the details, this could be a great fit.

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will:
- Communicate with customers regarding outstanding payments and account balances
- Post and apply customer payments accurately
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and billing issues
- Follow up with customers regarding past-due balances and nonpayment
- Pull and work aging reports to monitor outstanding accounts
- Research account and payment issues and determine the best way to resolve them
- Answer phones and communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
- Manage multiple accounts, priorities, and follow-up items while meeting deadlines
What we're looking for:
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of organization
- Proficiency with Excel and comfort working with computer systems and software
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at the same time
- Someone who takes initiative and can identify what needs to be done without needing constant direction
- The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative member of the team
- Professional and comfortable communication skills, particularly when speaking with customers by phone
- Customer service or accounts receivable experience is preferred
