Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Collections Analyst II to join our Shared Services Team in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for Research and conduct in-depth analysis of unpaid or underpaid claims and identify root causes and drive resolution strategies.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support resolution of past-due payer balances
- Research and conduct in-depth analysis of unpaid or underpaid claims and identify root causes (denials, processing issues, contract discrepancies) and drive resolution strategies
- Serve as a primary point of contact and work with payer representatives to follow up on outstanding balances
- Document collection activity, track follow-ups, and maintain accurate account notes
- Analyze aging reports and proactively prioritize accounts based on risk and value and drive collection performance
- Assist in identifying trends in non-payment, recommend corrective actions, and escalating issues to the Collections Lead
- Support and review reporting, reconciliations, and data validation related to receivables
- Collaborate with internal teams (U.S.-based) and cross functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
EDUCATION AND professional experience:
Required:
- 8-10 years of experience in collections
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
work environment:
· Expectation to work primarily in the Zelis-India office on a regular basis
· Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as required to collaborate with teams outside of India
