Overview:
The accounts payable specialist will report to the Finance Director as an hourly associate. Normal shift hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday with occasional overtime. The accounts payable team member should be a partner with business unit leaders that supports all accounts payables functions.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Prepares daily financial management reporting – i.e. aging analysis, received goods reports
- Performs a 3-way match using purchase order, receiving document, and vendor invoice
- Prepares all payments and submits to Finance Director for review and approval
- Prepares month end internal reporting files, i.e. vendor master files, disbursements registers
- Certifying and analyzing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Basic Qualifications:
- Knowledge of accounting terms
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or relevant 2-3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in coding and matching invoices a plus
- Excellent computer/technology skills, including familiarity with the MS Office product suite, with an emphasis using Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Works effectively in a team environment
- Comfortable working with all levels of management to complete assignments
- Consistently operates at the highest level of integrity and is never willing to compromise with regards to ethical standards
