The RoleAustralian Laboratory Services Pty Ltd is seeking a part-time Accounts Payable Officer to join the Accounts team of their subsidiary, ALS Metallurgy, in the northern suburbs of Perth. Part Time hours for this role is Monday to Thursday 9:00am to 3:00pm.Suitable applicants will need a minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar roles and ideally have a basic qualification in accounting.The day to dayReporting to the Finance Manager and working alongside another accounts payable team member, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Processing day to day supplier invoices, ensuring the required authorisations and items of documentation are in place.
- Attending to queries with internal and external stakeholders with a high degree of courtesy and professionalism.
- Assisting with supplier pay runs.
- Processing supplier credit account applications in line with ALS procedures.
- Maintaining of supplier accounts and records to a high standard.
- Performing end of month supplier account reconciliations.
- Assisting with any other required tasks.
- Compliance with regulatory and ALS policy requirements for Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Pronto 780 experience is desirable, but not essential.
- Strong Excel competency.
- Good interpersonal, communication, organisational and time management skills.
- Great attention to detail and be highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work to tight monthly deadlines.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.
