Roche Diagnostics NZ is looking for a finance professional for the position of Finance Enterprise Partner. Reporting to the Finance & Operations Leader, you serve as a key business partner to the commercial organization. You leverage your in-depth business understanding combined with financial expertise in driving forward initiatives critical to delivering the strategy. The Finance Enterprise Partner also builds networks across the wider Roche organization to share best practices and co-create solutions that create value for the affiliate but also for Roche as a global company. You act as a sparring partner, challenger and decision supporter for your business partners to ensure efficient resource allocation to optimize our return on investment. This role will primarily support local business needs, however, there may be projects that give you the opportunity to contribute to regional or global initiatives.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide financial analysis, financial modeling, consultation, transparency and insights to make good business decisions and achieve business objectives.

  • Balance resource allocation across competing priorities and provide advice on financial implications of proposed business activities. 

  • Ensure financials are on track to achieve targeted business results and metrics or advise deviations and corrective actions for,

○ pricing calculation & analysis

○ deal review & negotiation of commercial terms

○ cost-center budget monitoring & analysis

○ profit monitoring & analysis

  • Support the commercial team in driving closure of key customer issues 

  • Stay abreast of and scan the internal/external business landscape for trends, issues and opportunities to create value.

  • Co-lead planning event processes for the affiliate – business plan, budget and the monthly outlook.

  • Collaborate with the extended finance team in the Shared Service Center in Malaysia for accounting topics, on an ongoing basis as well as some month end closing tasks.

  • Owner of price maintenance & review, financial compliance including ICFR controls and local External Audit support.

  • Owner of Finance SOPs and Subject Matter Expert for Affiliate Master Data.

Who You are:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification with at least 5 years of similar experience, preferably in healthcare-related industry, possess very good accounting and corporate finance knowledge as well as knowledge of relevant NZ financial legislation.

  • Demonstrated experience of minimum 2 years as a finance business partner.

  • Strong analytical skills including financial modeling & scenario analysis along with strong communication & Influencing skills will make you a suitable candidate. 

  • Agile mindset and entrepreneurial spirit with a high level of business acumen and ability to work in global networks.

  • Solid understanding of SAP systems especially with FICO modules and advanced Excel skills.

  • A commercial and customer centric mindset with an ability to manage key stakeholders, build and enhance key relationships.
