Position Overview
We're searching for a Accounting Support Specialist to join our Support Team team in a remote setting or hybrid from our Brighton office. To keep us headed in the right direction, we're looking for people who understand winning is a team sport, who value and seek to learn from our team's diverse experiences and backgrounds, who welcome a challenge and take risks in the pursuit of creating better outcomes for our customers, and who can, at any given time, step back to laugh and have some fun.
What You'll Do
  • Provide product and technical support for accounting related issues and queries for issues raised through the Support desk
  • Accurately and efficiently record relevant call details and investigation notes using the incident management system, making sure that all symptoms and the customers desired outcome are recorded to ensure ease of understanding of issue raised and to enable appropriate prioritisation allocation
  • Manage Accounts Support queue of cases, through investigation to resolution, working effectively, Collaboratively and responsibly to ensure client satisfaction
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to escalated calls in line with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Ensure Customer and other interested parties are kept up-to-date on issues and progress
  • Identify trends and root cause of customer issues in order to create proactive long term resolutions to retain customers and reduce attrition
  • Assist colleagues/other departments with accounts functionality and issues relating to testing and solutions to resolve issues
  • Assist with the creation of knowledgebase documentation. Assist 1st line technicians with the creation of documentation for issues which are currently not covered

We're Excited to Learn More About You
Your experience may include:
  • Comprehensive experience of accountancy ideally in Insurance Broking accounting
  • Strong knowledge of accountancy principles & Management Accounts
  • Double Entry Bookkeeping
  • Experience working in a customer services environment
  • The ability to methodically investigate and identify discrepancies and differences in accounts
  • The ability to investigate and resolve software faults
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

You may have other skills or credentials, including:
  • Relevant accountancy qualification
  • In-depth experience using accountancy-related software packages
  • Experience of using and repairing databases
