Job Purpose:
Our Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for performing professional accounting work including compilation, consolidation and analysis of financial data. Other duties may include ledgers and preparation of journal entries, fixed asset or inventory accounting, preparation of trial balance or financial statements, and cost accounting and bank account reconciliation.Job Responsibilities:
● Maintain assigned general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts by reviewing documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations, preparing supporting schedules, recording appropriate journal entries consistent with US GAAP, and reconciling on a monthly basis.● Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.
● Act as the subject matter expert and demonstrate proficiency of local or US GAAP in assigned accounting area, including technical accounting research and documentation.
● Ensure accuracy and completeness of quarterly and annual reporting packages to support SEC filings.
● Ownership of specific optimization initiatives utilizing in house process improvement applications.
● Review financial results for completeness by preparing various reports, schedules, and reconciliations.
● Support various audits by providing accounting documents, schedules, and other relevant information.
● Develop and implement process improvements to eliminate non-value added tasks.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
●Targeted experience – cost accounting / manufacturing, Amtech or Encore system knowledge
● Strong understanding of GAAP as it relates to a manufacturing business
● Maintain, develop and improve internal controls and compliance
● Ability to partner with the business to accurately account for and report material, labor and overhead costs; including but not limited to inventory accuracy, inventory reconciliations, standard costing, etc.
● Interest in investigating and understanding material, labor and cost variances to highlight opportunities for the business to act
● Maintain, develop and improve on operational KPIs to ensure business leaders have real-time financial information to drive action
● Support budgeting, forecasting and mid-month performance tracking as local business partners to inform FP&A’s perspective
