About the Role
We are looking for a passionate data-driven accounting specialist to help Felix strengthen its financial and accounting controls. As a Finance Ops Specialist, you will be responsible for reconciling settlement balances with our disbursement providers and payment providers, the accounts receivable process, reviewing and scheduling vendor payments, the fixed assets ledger, and supporting the finance team on reporting and compliance requirements. This position will work directly with the Controller and the Accounting firm that helps us with our bookkeeping, in order to provide accuracy and completeness to Félix's financial statements and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day settlements reconciliations with disbursement and payment providers
- Manage the accounts payable process, validating bills are accurate and complete, bill payment scheduling and reconciling to ERP.
- Manage the accounts receivable process, from billing, collecting, and reconciling
- Support on the monthly closing, ensuring balances are accurate
- Inter-company balances and transactions reconciliations
- Responsible for monthly closing and financial reporting for our Mexican entity
Requirements
- 4+years of experience in accounting and/or accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury
- Proficiency in Excel, data queries
- Experience with ERP systems
- Decision making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English
- Analytical skills and the ability to manage large amounts of data
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- These are the applicable requisites, although equivalent competencies in any of the above will also be considered.
