Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities:

• You will be part of the North America accounting team, supporting the accounting manager during the monthly close process.
• Record US and Canada cash activity in Oracle Fusion Cash Management with weekly reconciliations to a global cash flow number.
• Prepare and enter journal entries as needed, with appropriate support for manager review.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations that agree to the General Ledger and provide explanations for all balances.
• Execute key accounting controls for Sarbanes-Oxley purposes and provide support to the internal and external auditors to assist in the completion of quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Assist with quarterly and annual external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and compilation of requested documentation.
• Collaborate with a global team, including Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Tax, Treasury, and Financial Planning & Analysis
• Assist with other ad-hoc projects and process documentation.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint.
• Aptitude for learning new systems and software tools, including PowerQuery and Oracle BI.
• Demonstrated ability to manage tasks independently and effectively while contributing to team goals.
• Prior involvement in audit support, internal controls, or compliance activities in plus.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s or CPA preferred).
• 0-2 years (including public accounting) experience or 1-4 years non-public accounting experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, both English and Romanian required.
