About the Role - Accounting Specialist (Payables and Payroll):

As the Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of the company. Your responsibilities will include overseeing accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and accurately managing employee payroll. Your meticulous attention to detail and expertise in financial transactions will contribute significantly to the smooth functioning of our finance department. Key duties and responsibilities typically include:

Accounts Payable:

· Review, process, and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.

· Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment schedules.

· Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues promptly.

· Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.

· Calculate application expanded withholding tax, if any.

· Prepare and post accounting entries related to payments processing.

Payroll Management:

· Process payroll for employees, ensuring accurate calculations of wages, tax withholdings, and deductions.

· Manage employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement contributions, and other deductions.

· Address payroll-related queries and concerns from employees.

· Stay updated on payroll regulations and tax laws to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

· Degree in Accounting.

· 3-5 years’ experience focused on processing payments / payroll.

· Some experience in general accounting / financial reporting is a plus.

· Team player and excited to learn new skills.

· Highly skilled in using MS Excel and accounting system.

· Willing to embrace and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
