Accounting Specialist

Executes day to day processing of accounting transactions within defined
standard operating procedures with a purpose of achieving service
delivery goals for the organisation and providing first level support
for both technical and functional issues raised by end users. Is a
Subject Matter Expert in accounting or business transactions in a
specific area of operations.

As an Accounting Specialist you’ll play a vital role in our success by being responsible for risk and control environment, reporting and developing internal control processes. You will have the opportunity to have exposure to global accounting process, Audit, IFRS and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for risk and control environment, reporting and developing internal control processes.
• Perform analysis like NOPAT, review balance sheet reconciliations, be responsible for all periodic tax filings etc.
• Ensuring that all the General Ledger accounting and Financial / Management Reporting is done in accordance with IFRS and APMM GAP.
• Take care of statutory accounting and be responsible to provide response to all audit related queries.
• Manage preparation of Board Packs.
• Additional functions may be required according to business area needs.

We are looking for:

• CA/CAP or equivalent degree in finance and accounting OR alternate finance background.
• 5-7 years’ experience with accounting and reporting.
• Experience in control framework and IFRS (added advantage).
• Excellent proactive, analytical, innovative, and structured working method.
• Adapts to high workload and unplanned activities.
• Advanced English Level (Required).
