Job Summary:
The Accounting Specialist aids in processing receivables, payroll, and facilitating collections for AAA Moving and Storage.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Post receivables into accounting software subsequent to appropriate research of the payment.
- Communicate with customers regarding claims decisions made by the service center General Managers
- Process credit card payments for monthly storage after verifying invoices have been generated and posted to accounting software
- Ensure collections efforts are conducting according to the regulations of the State of Alaska and the state within which the customer resides.
- Assemble paperwork to send to attorney for collection purposes, as needed.
- Work assigned shifts including some mandatory overtime and work on Saturdays
- Other responsibilities, as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, company software
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn accounting software
- Strong interpersonal skills for communicating over the phone and through writing
- Knowledge of accounting/general bookkeeping procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Required Education and Experience:
- Required: High school diploma
- Preferred: Prior receivables or collections experience

- 95% or more of job must be completed at company facility
