Job DescriptionBlack Hills Harley-Davidson is looking to hire an Accounting Specialist to join our team and help keep our dealership running smoothly, especially during the high-volume excitement of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, where we sell up to 1,500 motorcycles in just a few weeks.
Position Summary:
This position’s primary responsibility will be supporting the entire accounting team. Duties will include but not limited to bank/deposit posting and reconciliation, posting motorcycle sales deals and ensuring compliance with all legal, internal, and manufacturer requirements. You will help ensure every sale is documented, accurate, and ready to move to the next phase. You may also participate in other duties such as lien payoffs, floorplan payments, physical inventories, account reconciliations, and other accounting tasks. This position will also cross train on vehicle title and licensing.

- Post new and used motorcycle deals accurately and promptly.
- Review and verify deal paperwork for legal and internal compliance.
- Issue payoffs for trade-in vehicles.
- Process and post OEM and finance incentives and cancellations.

- Flooring audits and processing
- Physical inventories
- Account reconciliations

What we are looking for:
- Minimum two years prior accounting dealership or Powersports experience.
- Lightspeed DMS experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic accounting concepts, specifically account reconciliations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Due to the extreme seasonal nature of our business, during the rally season, you must be flexible in your hours and availability.
