The Accounting Specialist - A/R will work out of our Springfield, MO, Office on a hybrid schedule. 

We are seeking a motivated, energetic accounting candidate. The ideal candidate for this position would possess a high level of organization and attention to detail.

The position duties would include but are not limited to: posting daily cash receipt and ACH transactions and customer service inquiries from our agents/customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing accounts receivable
  • Posting cash transactions
  • Customer service for our agents/customers
  • Communications for customer service are by phone and email.
  • Learning several different software programs, specific to the insurance industry.
  • Assisting with any other duties as needed to support the accounts receivable team

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
  • Initiative to take adequate steps to succeed
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to independently adhere to company policies and procedures with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel® is a plus
  • Desire to grow in the company.

.Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience 
  • At least 3 years previous accounting experience preferred.  
  • Cash posting experience preferred but not required

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
