About the role
Is the subject matter expert on account reconciliation and related activities for the Voluntary Benefits Licensing & Commission and Billing teams. Supports the team members’ agenda to complete all related functional processing.Key Accountabilities:
Licensing & Commission Department
Manage the monthly Account Certification or validation of the balances in our general ledger accounts.
Manage the Account Reconciliation processes to include identification, research, and required journal entries.
Execute the Workday matching steps to complete the reconciliations.
Responsible for the journal entries to book EFT returns, research the reason for the return, contact the payee, and make corrections to record and reissue the payment.
Manage the undistributed account to ensure funds are paying according to the commission threshold balance.
Upload EIB requests to Workday for large amounts of data.
Create Supplier invoice requests as needed.
Assist team members with questions on account level transaction upon request.
Billing Department
Mainframe suspense clean up.
V3 suspense.
Assist with research for weekly meeting with Finance.
Research resolution on emails from Treasury.
Suspense reconciliation & research on CBS accounts with the Finance team.
ICFR control testing.
Backup for the Financial Account Reconciliation Specialist.
V3 invoice reconciliation questions/research for clients.
Specialist tasks and other duties as assigned
Analyze complex problems and recommend solutions. Analyze and comprehend the broader scope and impact of work, extending beyond individual job responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 2-4 yrs of related experience or HS Diploma and 4-6 years of related experience.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Collaboration skills and the ability to work with all levels of an organization.
Problem- solving skills.
Strong Math skills.
Demonstrated independent thinking and judgement.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
Client Management reporting experience.
Suspense account experience.
Understanding of banking system transfer processes.
Experience working in Workday Financials and Adaptive.
Technical skills or the ability to quickly learn new/proprietary systems technology.
The compensation range for this role is (based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois):
$61,412.00 - $88,706.00 per yearThe final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus. We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive salary within the market.
