We’re looking for an Accounting Operations Lead who is detail-oriented, hands-on, and passionate about bringing structure, accuracy, and consistency to our accounting function. This role is central to maintaining clean books, improving processes, and ensuring that our finance operations run smoothly across our U.S. and LATAM entities.
About the RoleThe Accounting Operations Lead will be responsible for owning the daily accounting activities — from reconciliations and reporting to process improvement and compliance oversight.
This is a role for someone who enjoys both doing and leading — executing key accounting tasks while improving how things get done.
You’ll work closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is accurate, processes are efficient, and reporting deadlines are met. You will also help drive the “back-to-basics” culture within finance — focused on discipline, accountability, and clarity.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Management- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll entries, and General Ledger maintenance.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Reconcile accounts, review journal entries, and maintain supporting documentation.
- Partner with external accountants or auditors to ensure compliance with U.S. and local standards (US GAAP / IFRS).
- Maintain accurate financial records for multiple entities across regions.
- Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in accounting workflows.
- Standardize reporting templates, reconciliation procedures, and closing checklists.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Operations teams to ensure financial accuracy and alignment.
- Participate in the automation and digitization of financial processes.
- Support the implementation and improvement of ERP or accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.).
- Supervise and guide junior accountants or accounting assistants.
- Promote a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and leadership, presenting results and recommendations in a practical, actionable way.
- Ensure deliverables and deadlines are consistently met without compromising quality.
RequirementsQualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in multi-entity or multinational environments.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP or IFRS).
- Advanced Excel and experience with ERP/accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- English proficiency (B2 or higher) and strong communication skills.
- Experience working remotely or across international teams preferred.
