The Opportunity

Kargo is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This role is critical in driving the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting and supporting scalable processes as we continue to grow globally. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this individual will manage the monthly close, oversee global consolidations, lead audit and tax efforts, and strengthen internal accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a hands on CPA with a balance of technical accounting expertise, process improvement mindset, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

The Daily To-Do

• Own the monthly close process to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP.
• Lead global consolidation activities, including inter company eliminations and foreign currency translation.
• Manage and maintain general ledger integrity, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules for management and auditors.
• Coordinate the annual audit process and act as the key liaison with external auditors.
• Oversee tax compliance and filings in partnership with external advisors.
• Develop and implement process improvements across accounting workflows and systems (particularly in NetSuite).
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, and Operations on accounting implications of new initiatives.
• Support the evaluation and documentation of accounting policies and controls.
• Play a key role in team scaling, including mentorship and process ownership as the accounting function grows.

Qualifications : 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent) and industry experience in media, technology, or digital advertising.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and consolidations.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and implement automation.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach.
• Desire and ability to grow into a leadership role as the function expands
