Main Responsibilities
- Review the financial results for the Company activities in accordance with instructions from holding company.
- Ensure all the local reporting of crew contributions and remittances concerning tax, employee/crew contributions and company registration are fulfilled properly and within required time frame.
- Ensure submission of required financial documents relative to the company reportorial requirements with government agencies
- Ensure that clear instructions/procedures related to capital expenditure, business expenditure and payment authorisation are implemented and followed by Finance Department.
- Ensure that Finance Department performs accordingly to statutory and legal requirements and that required internal and external audit are performed on current basis.
- Review the correct monthly cash positions, bank reconciliation of the Company.
- Oversee petty cash disbursements, check cash transactions, oversees test count petty cash on current basis.
- Oversee the budget preparation and finalize the budget in coordination with the General Manager and Employer’s Representative.
- Verify on periodical basis that all transactions for the Companies are properly transcribed, checked and posted to the accounting system.
- Liaise with designated bank, tax agents and other officials as given power of attorney by the General Manager Employer’s Representative.
- Ensure that Vessel Disbursement Section is recording all vessels’ operations in proper manner, the operating costs reports are prepared properly and within the required time frame, the reimbursement of the expenses is received on time and in the proper amount.
- Approve the processing of payments of all Companies transactions and approve all accounting matters except money market placements, conversion and tax matters.
- Follow up prompt payment from customer in connection with accounts receivable and other receivables, and liaise with person in charge for proper records of Account Receivable.
- Provision of information and documents required to the external auditors.
- Assist in selection and negotiation and enter into competitive contracts with vendors and service provider. Monitor the quality and price level of rendered services and supplies. Approve quotations with General Manager before endorsing to Employer’s Representative for final approval.
- Initiate corrective action and investigation on Finance matters.
- Perform administration of benefits, leave, performance appraisal and corrective actions as per Company standards & policies for staff under supervision.
- Participate in Management Review process, review and finalization of Manning Agreement for direct client, emergency contingency activities as per Contingency Manual and contribute to the achievement of Annual Operating Plan.
- Perform other lawful orders of the Management.

Qualifications
- Accounting Graduate, must be a Certified Public Accountant.
- At least five (5) years of experience in Supervisory/Managerial level.
- Ability to relate to people at all levels in the organization.
- Must have leadership skill and pro-active.
- Must have good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and organized.
- Ability to formulate and implement policies and procedures with the use of considerable tact and diplomace to elicit cooperation from peers and subordinate.
- Possess computer skills - Word, Excel, etc.
