Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our finance and accounting operations. Reporting directly to the President, you will oversee a small accounting team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision-making to drive our continued growth. This role is critical in maintaining compliance, optimizing financial processes, and contributing to the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close processes. 
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports to provide insights for management. 
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, franchise reporting requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls; coordinate with external tax advisors as needed. 
• Supervise and mentor a team of accounting staff, fostering professional development and ensuring high performance. 
• Oversee cash flow management, inventory accounting (specific to our custom products), and cost analysis to support operational efficiency. 
• Implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems) to enhance accuracy and efficiency. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and manufacturing, to align financial strategies with business goals. 
• Handle financial planning for expansions, investments, or franchise-specific initiatives. 
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA certification preferred. 
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory role. 
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and t compliance; experience in construction-related industries is a plus. 
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous. 
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. 
• Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and driving process improvements. 
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. 
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; this position works in the Poway Office.
