Accounting Manager

We are seeking an Accounting Manager who has strong business experience working with startup companies and/or manufacturing companies with their unique challenges and opportunities.

Accounting

Manage accounting, monthly and annual financial reporting, tax, and treasury

Lead the month-close process

Consolidate financial reporting from subsidiaries and parent

Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team

Manage any third parties to which accounting functions have been outsourced

Financial Information

Oversee the issuance of financial information

Review and approve financial statements

Provide specialized reports to management team on an as-needed basis

Risk Management

Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile

Ensure that record-keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies

Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations

Desired Qualifications

The candidate Accounting Manager should have a Bachelor and/or Master's degree in accounting or business administration, and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a venture funded startup and/or larger corporation.  Should have experience working with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.

The job is based in our westside Santa Cruz, CA location.
