The Heritage at Brentwood is actively looking for a hospitality-minded Accounting Manager to join our Life Plan Community with Type A LifeCare®.

The Accounting Manger is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations and serves as the primary onsite financial steward for a senior living community with a hybrid Target Operating Model (TOM). This position will provide financial execution, financial insights, and resident and director-level support while partnering with the centralized LCS® Centers of Excellence (COEs) and the LCS Regional Finance Partner to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Focuses on local execution, coordination, accountability, and service continuing.
  • Serves as the primary onsite owner for accounting, billing, and financial matters, impacting residents, families, vendors, and department leaders.
  • Acts as the core point of coordination between the community, centralized COEs, and LCS Regional Finance to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Maintains operational continuity by owning resolution and follow-through on local financial issues and when execution is performed by centralized teams.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provides resident and family financial support and leads accounts receivable collection efforts.
  • Provides communication, support, and guidance to the Executive Director and department leaders on insights, budget variances, spend drivers, and operational impacts.
  • Escalates operational trends, risks, and opportunities to the Regional Finance Partner.
  • Manages local vendor relationships and coordinates AP accruals with department leaders and COEs to ensure accurate period reporting.
  • Maintains accurate resident financial records, contract changes, and census data in such systems as PointClickCare (PCC) and C3LinC.
  • Performs community and state specific financial, regulatory, and compliance tasks.
  • Partners with the Regional Finance Partner to align community performance, evaluate resource needs, and support forecasting, performance reviews, and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • 6-10+ years’ experience in accounting, finance, reporting, auditing or related experience required.
  • Experience working in senior living or healthcare industries preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
  • Proficient in C3LinC, PointClickCare (PCC), standard A/P platforms, and multiple financial systems.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must have strong understanding of general ledger accounting, accruals, financial statements, and reconciliations.
  • Must be experienced in timely, clear, and professional financial support to department leaders, residents, and families.
  • Must collaborate with the Executive Director with onsite financial leadership, reporting accuracy, and issue ownership.
  • Must collaborate with centralized COEs and LCS Regional Finance team with accurate information, timely escalation, and strong local coordination.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required; ability to present to small and large groups.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 6-10+ years of experience in accounting, finance, reporting, auditing, or related work
  • Experience working in senior living or healthcare industries

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience providing timely, clear, and professional financial support to department leaders, residents, and families
  • Ability to collaborate with the Executive Director on onsite financial leadership, reporting accuracy, and issue ownership
  • Ability to collaborate with centralized Centers of Excellence and regional finance teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation ability
