About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is currently looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial operations, supporting business performance, and maintaining compliance with local and international accounting standards.

What you will do

  • Support the Assistant Finance Director in the day-to-day management of financial and accounting operations.
  • Oversee General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and international accounting standards (USALI).
  • Monitor and analyse key financial KPIs, including RevPAR, GOP, EBITDA, and cost control indicators.
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Analyse variances between budgeted and actual results and propose corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Department Heads to monitor and control operating costs.
  • Supervise the financial aspects of contracts and coordinate with the Legal Department on contractual matters, compliance, and risk assessment.
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Oversee cash management and treasury cash flows.
  • Ensure the implementation of internal control procedures and fraud prevention measures.
  • Train, coordinate, and support members of the Finance team.

What you bring

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance leadership role, ideally within hospitality. Previous experience in Hotel finance and/or a structured business environment is a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Italian GAAP (OIC), statutory requirements, and USALI standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or hospitality finance platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken.

Schedule & Hours:

•     Full-time position based in Florence, Italy. Candidates must have valid authorization to work in Italy at the time of application.

Skills Required

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken
