What You'll Do…
- Oversee the full scope of statutory accounting and financial management functions for all Shipco Indonesia branches.
- Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring timely completion and full compliance with STI policies, including reconciliation and approval of all balance sheet accounts.
- Collaborate with business units and functional teams to deliver monthly financial analysis comparing actual results against plan and forecast, and develop action plans to address variances.
- Manage the country’s Profit & Loss (P&L) performance by partnering with stakeholders to achieve financial targets.
- Prepare internal management reports tailored to local business needs, identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and reduce costs.
- Submit monthly financial reporting packages to regional and corporate finance teams in a timely and accurate manner.
- Direct and coordinate the annual budgeting process for the General Manager, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Conduct annual reviews of critical business cycles to assess internal controls, identify procedural improvements, and support operational efficiency.
- Enhance operating cash flow and the accuracy of cash flow forecasts by maintaining strict oversight of credit collections and operational expenditures.
- Maintain strong focus on accounts receivable (AR) collections across all departments.
- Manage banking relationships and ensure effective control over bank account administration, including regular review of reconciliations and cash flow performance.
- Oversee services provided by tax advisors and external auditors, ensuring high-quality deliverables and compliance.
- Support cross-departmental functions by interpreting and applying accounting standards to operational matters, offering actionable recommendations.
- Safeguard company assets and intellectual property by ensuring the confidentiality of financial and operational information.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation by staying up-to-date with regulatory changes, enforcing accounting policies, and recommending procedural updates where necessary.
- Maintain professional knowledge through continuous learning, including participating in relevant training, reading industry publications, and engaging in professional networks and organizations.
- Foster a proactive, engaged, and high-performing Accounting team.
- Carry out additional responsibilities or tasks as delegated by the immediate supervisor.
