The Accounting Manager is responsible for key corporate accounting functions, including fixed asset accounting, travel and expense programs, the corporate card program, and the corporate vehicle program. This position also provides support for lease accounting, general ledger activities, month-end and year-end close, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Working closely with the Controller and cross-functional partners, the Accounting Manager helps ensure accurate financial reporting and effective accounting processes while providing leadership, guidance, and oversight for assigned accounting activities and team members.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and reports, ensuring compliance with company accounting policies and providing support to the Tax Manager as needed.
  • Manage and administer the company's travel and expense program, including the corporate card program.
  • Oversee accounting-related responsibilities associated with the leased corporate vehicle program.
  • Support the Lease Administrator with tracking, monitoring, and accounting for company leases.
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts monthly to ensure accurate financial reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities in collaboration with the general ledger team and Financial Reporting Manager.
  • Prepare documentation and supporting schedules for internal and external auditors as requested.
  • Develop, document, and improve accounting processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Partner closely with the Controller on complex operational and accounting matters to ensure alignment with financial reporting and control standards.
  • Build effective relationships with cross-functional teams and provide accounting guidance as needed.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to assigned team members and accounting processes.
  • Identify accounting or operational issues, analyze potential solutions, and assist with implementing process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


QualificationsQualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 6–7 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong proficiency with automated accounting systems, ERP platforms, general ledger applications, and advanced spreadsheet tools.
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS, with the ability to apply accounting principles to day-to-day business situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to independently manage assigned accounting responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial and accounting information clearly to different audiences.
  • Ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively with accounting, finance, and operational teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a supervisory, leadership, or team-lead capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members.
  • Experience with fixed assets, travel and expense programs, corporate cards, lease accounting, and/or corporate vehicle programs.
Travel Requirements

Travel is primarily local during the business day. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
