Job Description
We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Accounting Manager, Regional Finance to oversee the end-to-end financial close process and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across our Hong Kong entity, Vietnam subsidiary, and Indonesia representative office.
This role is well suited for a finance professional with strong technical accounting expertise, solid regional exposure, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, cross-border environment.
The successful candidate will serve as a key finance partner to internal stakeholders and external advisors, including accounting firms, tax consultants, and statutory auditors.
In addition to managing ongoing financial reporting and compliance matters, this role will support the gradual transition of bookkeeping activities in-house and contribute to the strengthening of internal finance capabilities across the region.
Responsibilities
Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting.
Prepare, review, and oversee financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal reporting requirements.
Manage treasury-related activities and support day-to-day cash flow visibility and financial control processes.
Act as the primary point of contact for external accounting firms, tax advisors, and statutory auditors for the Hong Kong entity, Vietnam subsidiary, and Indonesia representative office.
Oversee the annual statutory audit process for each entity, ensuring timely coordination, issue resolution, and completion of audit deliverables.
Review tax computations, returns, and statutory filings prepared by external service providers, including Hong Kong Profits Tax, Vietnam CIT, VAT and FCT, and Indonesia representative office filings, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Monitor intercompany balances and transactions, and support transfer pricing compliance and related documentation across jurisdictions.
Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen accounting controls, improve reporting processes, and maintain high standards of governance and compliance.
Support the phased transition of bookkeeping functions from external firms to the internal finance team, with a view to building sustainable in-house capabilities across the Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Indonesia entities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or audit.
Solid understanding of financial close processes, statutory reporting, and accounting operations.
Strong knowledge of Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS).
Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of the monthly accounting cycle.
Strong systems aptitude, with willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and with external advisors.
Fluency in Cantonese and English is required; Mandarin is an advantage.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or other ERP/accounting systems is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience gained in public accounting or a professional services environment.
Experience in the software industry or within a multinational organization with regional or APAC reporting responsibilities.
Sound knowledge of Hong Kong tax matters, including Profits Tax and Salaries Tax, as well as broader cross-border tax considerations.
Practical experience managing accounting, audit, or tax compliance matters in Vietnam and/or Indonesia, or in other Southeast Asian jurisdictions.
Professional accounting qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or US CPA.
Working proficiency in Vietnamese or Bahasa Indonesia would be an advantage.
