Role
We're seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to join our Accounting team in El Segundo. This role offers hands-on experience in corporate accounting principles and financial processes while developing technical and analytical skills in a fast-paced data center environment. Working directly with our accounting team, you'll gain valuable experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounts payable analysis.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in compiling and preparing monthly financial statements
- Support the accounts payable team with creating purchase orders and inputting invoices
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice inquiries and discrepancies
- Review aging reports and assist with follow-up actions
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Participate in special finance projects as assigned
- Present financial findings and project results at the end of the internship
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with financial data and perform reconciliations
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of NetSuite or similar financial systems
