Accounting Intern

Wisedocs is on a mission to make it easy and accessible for any company in the insurance, legal and medical space to understand medical documents quickly using AI (Artificial Intelligence). Every week, we process hundreds of thousands of pages of documents, saving our customers hours and hours of manual processing time, and helping them process medical claims much more quickly.

We are hiring a Summer Intern to join our Finance Deptartment. This is a great way to contribute as you learn the ropes in all things Accounting and Finance

Responsibilities

• Assist with bookkeeping tasks including data entry and invoice processing.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
• Help in reconciling bank statements and ensuring accurate records.
• Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Participate in audit preparations and maintain documentation for compliance.
• Engage in accounts payable and receivable functions to streamline operations.
• Conduct research and analysis to support financial decision-making.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is a plus.
• Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Availability for a minimum of 30 hours a week for 2-3 months
