JOB SUMMARY (Two/Three Lines):

· This paid internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various accounting functions, including financial reporting, compliance, and analysis.

· The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, familiarity with financial software, and an eagerness to develop their skills within a professional environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Tasks):

· Support accounts payable and accounts receivable management processes.

· Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.

· Enter journal entries and maintain the general ledger using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or other financial systems.

· Help with balance sheet reconciliation and financial report writing and interpretation.

· Support month-end closing activities, including accruals and debits & credits analysis.

· Handle confidential information with integrity and ensure adherence to accounting standards and policies.

· All other duties as assigned.

Requirements


Experience

· Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.

· Prior experience or coursework in corporate accounting, public accounting, or financial software such as QuickBooks.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to perform basic data analysis and financial reporting tasks

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality

OTHER WORK REQUIREMENTS:

· As you will/may be driving a company vehicle or your own vehicle on a regular basis, a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record as determined by a driver’s license background check is required for this position.

· All team members must successfully pass a background check (7 years), FBI fingerprint clearance and PA child clearance.

Skills Required

  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or recently graduated
  • Prior experience or coursework in corporate accounting or public accounting
  • Familiarity with financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or comparable systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to perform basic data analysis and financial reporting tasks

  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow accounting standards and policies

  • Successful completion of a 7-year background check, FBI fingerprint clearance, and Pennsylvania child clearance
