Amerock is currently seeking an Accounting Coordinator with experience in AP and Accounting to join our team!
This is a Hybrid role based out of Huntersville, NC location, in accordance with the Amerock's Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote.
Responsibilities:- The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for accurately reviewing and entering invoices, completing detailed analytical research to confirm the validity of a debit issued to a vendor and ensure it is processed as per Net terms for payments
- Accurately enter invoice detail into SAP AP Module while ensuring each non-PO invoice is properly approved and coded to the correct GL. Ensure each Purchase Order invoice is matched correctly to a 2way or 3way match
- Ensure Vendor payments are timely and accurately processed during payment runs
- Adhoc AP functions - assist in verifying New Vendor set ups, Supplier audit requests etc.
- Outstanding attention to detail and excellent customer service skills to both internal and external customers
- Knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, processes, and methods
- Assist with maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the financial and accounting records in accordance with Ferguson/Amerock's accounting policies, SOX controls, and other internal controls
- Assist with Month-end functions including simple reconciliations and balancing bank statements to SAP GL and , Quarterly and year-end GL closing duties
- Adhoc responsibilities -Assist finance leadership with internal and external audits
- Regular and reliable attendance and abide by all policies, rules, regulations and procedures of the company
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and or 2+ years of Finance or Accounting experience, preferred
- 2+ Years of AP/Accounting/Finance experience within the following areas: SAP system knowledge is a plus AP & Payment run processing Monthly General Ledger closing Balance Sheet and P&L account analyses, including reconciliations Monthly and recurring journal entries
- Demonstrate strong relationship building skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to work in a team and independently
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, etc, required
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, adjusting in accordance with job objectives and handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements

Pay Range:

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
