Job Title: Accounting Associate
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounting Associate will manage financial records, perform account analysis, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. The Accounting Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibility:

Compiles and sorts of documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.

Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.

Audits invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies, and approves payment.

Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.

Computes and records charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items.

Prepares vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy.

May reconcile general ledger accounts with various registers.

May extracts general ledger information.

May compiles cost reports and revenue and balance sheets.

May reconcile bank statements.
-
Monitors accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date.

Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.

Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.

Reviews, balances, interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.

Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
Academic/Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent field preferred.

Basic knowledge of accounting concepts and functions.
Required Skills/Experiences:

Must be able to read and understand work instructions.

Must be able to complete required paperwork and report information utilizing Plex or another required software.

Must be team oriented.

Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

Must have the ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
