Your Role
You will support the Accounting team by ensuring accurate and compliant processing of vendor invoices and employee expense reports. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial controls, supporting project expense compliance, and serving as an operational point of contact with internal stakeholders and external vendors. You will contribute to efficient accounts payable processes and support audit-ready documentation.
What You Will Do
- Review and validate vendor invoices to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with internal policies.
- Enter and process invoices in Coupa, ensuring correct coding (GL accounts, cost centers, projects).
- Communicate directly with external vendors to resolve discrepancies, request missing information, and follow up on payment status.
- Review project-related expenses to ensure compliance with internal policies, client guidelines, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain organized and complete supporting documentation for audit purposes.
- Support the accounting team during monthly close activities related to accounts payable and expenses.
- Filing and organization of all accounting files
- Download weekly digital files for Accounts Payable and Expense Reports
- Miscellaneous projects as requested
Your Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience accounting, business administration degree or related field
- Studies in accounting, business administration degree or related field
- Previous experience in accounting payable, accounting support or similar
- Proficient in data entry with strong excel skills
- Highly organized, detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Pro-active and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Able to work well under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines
- Well written with excellent verbal communication skills
- Cost-conscious, and able to scrutinize overhead charges, alerting department leaders when appropriate
