Job Title: Accounting Assistant III
Location: Irving, Texas [On-Site]
Job Type: Temporary - Hybrid position [possible Contract-to-Hire]
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant III to support the PO Invoice Indexing Team within the Financial Shared Services organization.
This role will utilize SAP S4, OpenText/Vendor Invoice Management system, Outlook, Excel, and other accounting tools to support Accounts Payable functions in accordance with GAAP, company policies, and government regulations.
Responsibilities:
Process invoices timely and accurately using financial systems (SAP & OpenText).
Review invoices to ensure all financial information is correctly identified.
Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve invoice issues.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Monitor and strive to meet departmental and individual processing metrics.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Communicate company policies and procedures clearly and professionally.
Develop solutions to moderately complex problems.
Support month-end closing requirements.
Multitask and manage workload effectively to meet service level agreements.
Basic Qualifications for Accounting Assistant 3:
High school diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting.
Intermediate proficiency in Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP and OpenText VIM.
Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
Background in a financial shared services environment.
Experience with government contracting.
Advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge of FAR, GAAP, and SOX compliance.
