Job Summary:
IPG is seeking an Accounting Assistant- Associate to provide a broad range of support to include, but not limited to, sales, billing, and/or accounting functions. The Accounting Assistant- Associate is also required to assist with increased workload due to Orca, and DAX migrations.
Job Description:
- Collaborate with internal departments (claims, contact center) to follow up on billing issues, claims payments, and discrepancies.
- Ensure timely response to internal departments requests, tracking and resolution of billing issues on customer accounts.
- Updating payment processor reconciliations daily, resolving any unreconciled items
- Ensuring timely response to employees for questions surrounding the concur employee expense and corporate card program, including assisting employees in submitting expense reports, answering coding questions, and managing the transfer of reports to the entity responsible for payment.
- Running reporting and providing journal entry for concur accrual on a monthly basis to multiple entities.
- Work closely with the finance and accounting teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards.
- Resolve and track customer account inquiries.
- Participates in process improvement initiatives.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
- Education/Experience: Equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)
Level Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing day to day transactions and payment processor related reconciliations
- Assists with billing inquiries and related changes
- Responsible for claims related processes that reside in accounting, such as cheque printing, stop payments, claim payment reissues
Accountability/Complexity:
- Works under limited supervision for routine situations
- Provides assistance and training to employees
