Accounting and Administrative Assistant

Anton Paar Chile is looking for an Accounting and Administrative Assistant to join our team in Santiago de Chile.

You will support the subsidiary’s daily accounting and administrative operations, helping maintain accurate financial information, efficient processes, and compliance with local requirements. The role involves close collaboration with the local team and regular interaction with our Headquarters in Graz, Austria, providing valuable exposure to an international business environment.

• Process day-to-day accounting transactions in SAP, ensuring accuracy, appropriate account assignment, and complete supporting documentation.
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice and credit note processing, payments, collections, and open-item follow-up.
• Prepare and maintain bank and balance sheet reconciliations, assist with General Ledger activities, and support month-end/year-end closing processes including accruals and provisions.
• Support compliance with Chilean accounting and tax requirements, including VAT, electronic tax documents, and statutory reporting, while preparing accounting reports and schedules for management and audit purposes.
• Provide administrative support related to employee expenses, payment documentation, and records management.
• Collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, Sales, and external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and banks.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Auditing (Contador Auditor) or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, or related administrative functions.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and basic knowledge of Chilean accounting and tax requirements.
• Working knowledge of key accounting processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a detail-oriented and proactive approach; intermediate English proficiency is preferred.
