As an Accounting Analyst I – Revenue Accounting & Analysis, you will play a meaningful role in supporting core accounting functions across the organization. You will contribute to financial analysis and reporting that informs management decision-making, while also identifying opportunities to improve processes through technology and automation. Curiosity, attention to detail, and a drive to improve how work gets done are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities / Expectations
- Perform assigned month-end activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting, and variance analysis
- Prepare, maintain, and enhance schedules, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders
- Support internal and external audit requests by providing accurate documentation and clear explanations
- Collaborate as a team member on accounting and finance-related projects
- Process and analyze large volumes of data, ensuring accuracy while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and automation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education / Years of Experience
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field with a strong accounting focus and a minimum of one (1) year of accounting experience in the energy industry or successful completion of an accounting internship.
- Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential or actively pursuing CPA certification.
- Alternative Consideration: Candidates currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field with a strong accounting focus may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrates strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with safety as a top priority
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Communicates effectively and collaborates across teams and departments
