The Opportunity
This role goes beyond core accounting! Ideal for analytically minded candidates, this role blends accounting fundamentals with a strong focus on commercial insight and performance analysis.
This is a great opportunity to join the Dexus Office sector Property Finance team as an Accountant within a fast-paced and dynamic corporate environment. You will be responsible for the end-to-end financial management of a portfolio of Office assets, including performance monitoring, forecasting, and budget preparation. You will partner closely with the Office sector teams and Finance teams to deliver insights that support stakeholders and help drive strategic decision-making within he Real Estate Office business.
You will make an impact by:
Overseeing the financial performance and reporting of an assigned portfolio of assets, with a focus on ensuring outsourced providers deliver outcomes for property accounting and reporting that Dexus require.
Supporting the Office Sector team and relevant stakeholders in the budget, forecast and asset planning process.
Delivering best practice asset modelling across your portfolio ensuring models for income, capital, leasing and valuations forecast are accurate and up to date and flow on impacts are considered for decision making and fund reporting.
Delivering high-quality reporting to co-owners
Business partnering with the business to provide end-to-end knowledge and support on the assigned portfolio and financial and leasing metrics into meaningful insights to improve quality of business decisions.
About You
You are an agile and curious Accountant with a strong analytical mindset who seeks to drive high-quality commercial insights, build effective stakeholder relationships, and can thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
You will bring:
3-5 years’ demonstrated experience in a financial/commercial analyst or accountant role
CA/CPA qualification, or working towards
Prior experience in systems such as Yardi or TM1 are advantageous
Sound accounting knowledge desirable - sufficient to oversee and challenge outsourced providers and support transactions — though not the primary skill set required for the role.
A real knack for managing a broad range of stakeholders and service partners
