Staff Accountant
Position Summary
The Staff Accountant supports the Accounting team by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with the monthly close process. This role is ideal for recent Accounting or Finance graduates or early-career accountants looking to build hands-on experience. We welcome candidates with internship, co-op, or manufacturing experience who are eager to learn and grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Review transactions, resolve discrepancies, and ensure data accuracy.
- Assist with financial reporting, audits, and other accounting projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; an Associate's degree or coursework in accounting, business, or finance is highly preferred.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Experience
- 0–2 years of accounting experience, including internships or co-op experience.
- Manufacturing or bookkeeping experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with accounting or ERP software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) preferred.
- Basic understanding of GAAP, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.

- Solid computer skills and ability to use spreadsheet tools
- High ethical standards and confidentiality when handling financial data
