GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Staff Accountant is responsible for the monthly general ledger close, balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis, preparing and entering journal entries and assisting in year-end close.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Assistant Controller
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include but are not limited to:

Assist with month-end close, including preparing and posting journal entries

Perform month-end financial statements variance analysis
-
Perform general cash transaction posting and bank reconciliations
-
Perform balance sheet reconciliations
-
Maintain fixed asset listing and post fixed asset activity

Prepare and post bi-weekly payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll cash disbursements

Assist with weekly deposits
-
Assist with audits and regulatory examinations
-
Assist with day to day treasury duties as needed

Assist with projects as assigned by manager
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; strong working knowledge of US GAAP; commitment to accuracy and integrity of the financial statements and deadlines; competency with most common software programs and advanced proficiency with Excel; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with minimal supervision, establish priorities, and manage multiple assignments concurrently; exceptional problem-solving skills.
