Position Summary
Accountant will support the Entity Controller performing assigned general ledger activities in a timely and accurate manner, preparing month end close process and will be responsible for the correctness of G/L entries in compliance with US GAAP, as well as local GAAP requirements and SOX compliance. The role requires independent work and in-depth accounting knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform US and Local GAAP month-end closing activities (journals booking, HFM reporting)
- Prepare month-end accruals with finance team
- Analyze variances at BS and P&L level
- Conduct cut-off analysis
- Prepare and review journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations
- Support audits (US GAAP, statutory, SOX)
- Prepare regulatory reports
- Handle limited payroll, banking, and treasury operations
- Support CITR preparation and reporting
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency
- Train junior team members
Education / Qualifications
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
Experience
- 3–5 years in general ledger and close processes
Key Skills and Knowledge
- Fluent English
- Knowledge of GAAP
- SAP / HFM (advantage)
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Ability to work independently
- Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented
