Role Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with expertise in accounting. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to day accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings.
Responsible for US GAAP accounting, reporting and analyses of data and other ad hoc requests for information
Performing general ledger account analysis and Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Prepare SOX controls
Create and maintain process documentation
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations.
Collaborate with other finance functions to streamline accounting processes
Requirements:
Intermediate verbal and written communication skills in English
BS or BA Degree in Finance and Accounting and/or 3-5 years relevant experience
Experience with General Ledger activities: prepare journal entries, accruals for month-end, year-end close, prepare reconciliations, resolve open items
ERP knowledge with any of these tools: SAP, Oracle, Great Plains, Blackline
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Basic understanding of US GAAP or IFRS
SOX control related knowledge
Skills Required
