In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulations, and providing insights that drive our financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Manage monthly financial closing and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine tax regulations, BIR reporting, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain a sound cost accounting system.
- Prepare and file tax returns (Withholding Tax, Income Tax, VAT, etc.).
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Cash Management & Payment Processing:
- Process requisitions and ensure proper documentation before approval.
- Review and verify cash advance requests and ensure proper liquidation within the set timeframe.
- Handle payment requests by verifying supporting documents and ensuring timely disbursement.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in creating an effective working capital management model.
Accounts Management & Internal Controls:
- Review and verify journal entries, billings, and supplier payment requests.
- Monitor company expenses and ensure proper budget allocation.
- Ensure compliance with government reporting and submission deadlines.
- Implement policies and procedures to improve financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 3 y ears of accounting experience
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial reporting, and accounting principles; proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; experience in leading or mentoring junior staff is a plus.
- Ethics and Integrity: High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
