As a member of the Finance team, you will help support our data-driven culture by managing payroll and accounts payable and assisting all stakeholders with tax and statutory reporting processes. Your positivity, knowledge of accounting, and fast “can do” attitude will help you find quick solutions to even the most unusual problems that arise in a high-growth start-up life environment.
You’ll help us protect honest people online by:
- Completing Estonian payroll calculations and related tax calculations
- Submitting local statutory reports relevant to its specific area (e.g., in Estonia TSD, KMD, Statistics, Social Insurance)
- Support payroll in other countries
- Managing the Accounts Payable process as well as supporting AP: reviewing purchase invoices, card payment transactions, and expense reports
- Implementing best practices and documenting processes for Payroll
- Supporting implementation of new tooling (e.g. ERP)
- Supporting with month-end closing
- Working in cooperation with the Finance Department on process developments as well as the annual financial audit
You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:
- 2+ years of work experience in Estonian payroll, including exposure to variable payroll calculations
- A Bachelor's degree (Finance, Tax, Law, HR, Legal, or other relevant) or graduate from Vocational school (Kutsekõrgkool or Kutsekõrgharidus)
- Excellent communication skills in Estonian and English
- Understanding different aspects of accounting rules and regulations
- A detail-oriented mindset while also having generalization skills
- A “can-do” attitude, with the ability to prioritize and deliver
- Solutions and recommendations, along with the problems and issues you will find.
- A team player ethic while being comfortable working independently
You’re an especially awesome match if you have:
- Worked in a multinational team before
- Experience with payroll, expense management tool and AP approval processes
- Worked with Netsuite before
