What You'll Do:
✅ Build trusted relationships with family farm clients
✅ Maintain accurate financial records and analyze general ledger accounts
✅ Complete bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
✅ Prepare balance sheets, income statements, profitability reports, and other financial reports
✅ Turn financial data into practical insights that help producers make confident business decisions
✅ Participate in farm meetings and help explain financial trends and results
✅ Prepare organized year-end information for tax preparers
✅ Support onboarding of new FarmBooks clients
✅ Collaborate with the FarmBooks team on projects and process improvements
What We're Looking For:
✔ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
✔ Two or more years of accounting experience preferred; agriculture, client accounting, or small-business experience is a plus
✔ Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation required
✔ Familiarity with tax-basis accounting is preferred
✔ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
✔ Ability to communicate financial information in a clear, practical way
✔ Passion for agriculture, rural communities, and helping family farms succeed
