We are conducting a search on behalf of two leading businesses within a global industrial group, for an Accountant to join their team in Surrey, BC. Employed by PROK and supporting the ALPINE operation, this unique opportunity offers meaningful work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a supportive team, strong leadership and a collaborative workplace culture.
As an experienced Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the general ledger, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with tax and payroll requirements. You’ll work closely with operational and financial leaders across the organization, contributing to accurate forecasting and reporting across multiple time zones.
Your Role:
- Manage the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR, reconciliations and month-end close.
- Prepare and submit financial reports and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with GST/PST and payroll regulations
- Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Collaborate with business leaders on day-to-day operations
- Support payroll processing and month-end close activities
- Work with the external auditor to support the year-end audit process
- Meet tight deadlines and reporting requirements across global entities
What you bring to the table:
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP essential)
- Experience with ERP systems (D365 or Pronto experience desired but not essential)
- Knowledge of Canadian tax compliance (GST/PST)
- Experienced in Dayforce/Powerpay payroll systems preferred
- CPA (or nearing designation) would be advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
