Work Location & Schedule:
This position is based out of RXO headquarters located at 11215 N Community House Road, Charlotte, NC 28277 and follows a four-day onsite work schedule Monday through Thursday, work from home on Fridays!
What your day-to-day will look like:
Ensure accurate, complete and timely compilation and recording of accounting information, analysis and reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting closes for functional areas of responsibility, including related SOX compliance and the external financial statement audit
Accurately maintain general ledger accounts and respective reconciliations, including researching, understanding and interpreting accounts and underlying activity, trends and variances across a broad scope of accounting functional areas (AR/AP, allocations, prepaids, accruals, subledgers details, and intercompany)
Prepare and review journal entries in accordance with company policies
Support the preparation and distribution of monthly accounting, financial and management reporting as well as ad hoc analyses
What you’ll need to excel:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
1-2 years of accounting or financial reporting experience
Experience in Microsoft Excel
It’d be great if you also have:
CPA certification (or in progress) or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or business
Public accounting experience
Experience with related systems such as Oracle, HFM, LeaseAccelerator, and Blackline
Intermediate Excel skills (comfortable analyzing data using various functions such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot tables)
