Qualifications
SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES
1. The accountant is responsible for developing, maintaining, and performing the daily revenue audits, associated accounting entries, journal entries and reports for gaming or non-gaming areas as well as related internal controls.
2. May include performing all aspects of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable.
3. The accountant must prepare various reports for management and other users and be responsible for answering any questions regarding these reports, findings, and exceptions.
4. Appropriately assist Associate or other Accountant to provide customer service to our guests or other employees including issuing office supplies.
5. Associated responsibilities include maintaining files/records consistent with the Enterprise record retention and destruction program and maintaining the required subsidiary ledgers.
6. Knowledge of the application software used in performing the audits is required to extract and interpret the data.
7. Assist and backup other positions in the Finance Department including Compliance Accountant, Payroll Accountant, Lead Casino Accountant or Purchasing Agent.
8. The position will be responsible for other responsibilities and projects as required by the CFO.
PREREQUISITES
General: Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for a Tribal Key Gaming License.
Education: High school graduate or GED required. Four-year accounting or business degree required. Strong mathematical and analytical skills required. Must be able to communicate (both oral and written) effectively in the primary language used in the workplace.
Experience: Computer literate with a strong knowledge of Excel spreadsheet software. 10 keys by touch and data entry skills. Speed and accuracy required. Casino auditing and database experience preferred.
Physical: Visual acuity; finger dexterity; repetitive motions, position requires sitting for long periods, reaching, and bending and lifting to 40 pounds.
