POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accountant II is responsible for Fixed Asset Accounting and Project Accounting and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and general ledger input.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage and prepare all general ledger financial statements.
  • Assist with month-end and quarter end closings including general ledger input, journal entries, standard entries and royalty accruals.
  • Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly financial statements including performance reports, consolidated income statements and balance sheets.
  • Conduct monthly posting of allocations.
  • Prepare annual audit work documents for auditors and assist with audit fieldwork questions.
  • Assist in preparing for year-end audit and footnote disclosures.
  • Assist in preparing annual financial plan.
  • Assist in physical inventory counts.
  • Prepare and maintain contribution records.
  • Assist with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Perform fixed asset duties including maintaining accurate and complete fixed asset records and preparing annual property tax returns.
  • Maintain all project accounting records including capital, reimbursable, research and development, no-charge prototypes and customer owned tooling.
  • Maintain monthly capitalized labor entries.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Maintaining a high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
  • Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace. 
     

WHAT TO BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

WHAT WILL HELP

  • 1-3 years of experience in general accounting.
